A group of three citations comprising the Iron Cross 2nd class, Army Drivers badge in bronze, and General assault award, all in VG+++ condition and made out to Obergefreiten OTTO SCHLEGEL. The man served 1941-43 with Pz. Jag. Abt. (Sf) 31 the armoured self propelled anti tank unit of 31. Inf. Div., then active in Russia at Smolensk, Wjasma, Moscow, Juchnow, Orel, and Bobruisk. The Iron Cross citation was signed by Gen. Major Gerhard Berthold Ritterkreuz recipient who was killed near Juchnow on the 14th of April 1942. All in VG+++ to better condition. |
