A Kriegsmarine Bulkhead clock, this is a different model to the usual Kieninger & Obergfell ones usually seen, this one is made by the firm of Junghans and retailed by FRIEDO FRIER WILHELMSHAVEN. The size of the clock is basically the same as the K&O version but with a different movement and face and pointers. The last identical one I saw for sale was in Ratisbons auction in Germany. The clock has been serviced recently at a cost of £150 and works well, but is offered as a collectors item and not a reliable time keeping example. The clock also has a thirty (30) hour movement, not the eight (8) day like the K&O versions. |
