A uniform peaked cap of the Reichskriegerbund (kyffhauser) organisation. The cap is the earlier type with black woollen body and black cap band showing alternate Kyffhauser monument and Maltese cross. The gilt cap wreath is the 1935/36 type with oval centre showing the Kyffhauser monument above the swastika. The cap has twisted black silk cap cords instead of a chin strap. The cap retains its makers celluloid diamond with the makers details “ELITE” and the owners name WASSMANN. VG++++ condition. |
