Now for something A LITTLE DIFFERENT!!!. Recently a friend of mine was on a little hunting trip to Hitlers Berghof in Germany and came back WITH?? GRASS, yes grass but with a difference. During the war the Berghof could be camouflaged from ariel view by the use of plastic imitation grass of varying colours and texture attached to chicken /wire netting, this was also painted green. In the event of an air raid this huge carpet of imitation grass could be drawn up to cover all the building in order to hide it from allied bombers. As we now know the Berghof is no more but the retaining wall that was built into the hillside still stands and it is from that area that the material was located a few inches below the soil and genuine grass.
